Feed Voters on Nov 3
Our Partners
Adopt-a-Restaurant Program
Driven by the success of our line warming efforts in 2018 and this past June, The Georgia 55 Project is going bigger and bolder for the November General election. We aim to make voting easy, fun and delicious for all metro-Atlantans throughout the election season. Anyone who lives in Georgia knows we are renowned for our great food and Southern hospitality, so we aim to extend this hospitality to the voting experience. Through informational campaigns and local restaurant partnerships, we are encouraging people to avoid the long Election Day lines by voting early in October. For those who must vote on Election Day, we will provide them with support and encouragement to stay in those long lines.
Before we dive into partnership details, our friends at Junior’s Pizza in Summerhill have some words to share with you about their experience working with us in June and why they have signed on to join us again in November!
Join our fight against voter suppression by feeding Atlantans in long lines
We fully expect there will be long election lines for the General Election on November 3rd, so we are looking for restaurant partners who can donate food at-cost to provide to voters in line. We will happily accept any in-kind donation and would only ask that it be COVID-friendly (pre-packaged or easily served by gloved volunteers). Our volunteers will be out and about bright and early until the last voter goes home, so we are open to any type of food.
On Super Saturday during early voting (October 24th) and Election Day (November 3rd), The Georgia 55 Project will have physical hubs to collect food donations and dispatch them to various district captains, who will operate tables at polling precincts. Our first priority is to support underserved communities, but we will also have an eye toward matching your restaurant with polling stations that are in close proximity so that your most local customers are aware of the good you are doing!
Benefits to your restaurant at this donation tier include:
Signage showing the name/logo/social account of your restaurant at Georgia 55 Project tables at select polling precincts on Oct. 24 and Nov. 3.
Use of your restaurant name/logo/social account (if desired) in GA55 digital and printed marketing materials (Instagram posts, website, signage).
The top 3 restaurant donors will also be eligible for a free promotional video (created and shot by one of our partnering videographers), along with a sizzle reel and professional photos to feature in your own marketing materials.

Adopt-a-Restaurant Program
We know COVID-19 has left many restaurants in an impossible situation financially and donations may not be possible for you, despite your strong desire in being a civic engagement superstar. If this is the case, you can sign up for our Adopt-a-Restaurant program. We are working to pair restaurants with organizations (i.e., professional associations, unions) who will “adopt” you for the day. Here’s how it works:
Step 1
You provide us with the amount of food that you can feasibly provide to our line-warming efforts and the estimated cost. You can decide whether you’d like to provide food for Super Saturday (Saturday, Oct. 24th) or Election Day (Tuesday, Nov. 3).
Step 2
We find an organization that is willing to sponsor some or all of your donation (i.e. one org might buy the cookies you provide, another might buy the cupcakes). We will aim to find a sponsoring organization with plenty of time to prepare for the amount of food that you initially propose.
Step 3
We’ll do all the coordination - you just have to supply the delicious food! On the day that you decided to supply food to our line-warming efforts, we’ll make sure to schedule a pick-up from your restaurant.
